Brecon Sub Aqua Club

Formed in 1972, Brecon Sub-Aqua Club offers a diver training programme (British Sub-Aqua Club qualifications) for those resident in Powys, interested in learning scuba diving and who wish to participate with like minded others to dive wrecks and reefs in and around the South Wales coastline. With a current membership of 20 divers, we are small and friendly club open to all those interested in taking up scuba diving as a hobby. We meet weekly, on Thursday evenings, for theory lectures between 7-8pm and follow the theory, with practical training in the Brecon Leisure Centre swimming pool between 8-9pm. Following the pool session we reconvene in front lounge of Brecon Rugby Club to organise the weekend diving. Most of our diving is done on the west coast between St Govan Head and Strumble Head, with our main launch site, at Gelliswick slip in Milford Haven. Our diving day typically alternates between scenic and wreck diving. We normally undertake two dives in a day, which is split either wreck or reef diving.
